Swimmer in critical condition

He fell unwell while swimming off Qawra

A Bosnian man is in critical condition after finding himself in difficulties while swimming.

The 60-year-old felt unwell while swimming off Qawra at about 5.15pm.

He was pulled to the shore at Fra Ben by bystanders who raised the alarm. People on the scene including a doctor administered first aid.

The man is being treated in hospital.
