Online travel booking company Expedia.com has named the Grand Hotel Excelsior as one of the top one per cent of hotels in the world for the quality of guest experience.
In an "Overall Satisfaction" rating of five, the Grand Hotel Excelsior has achieved an impressive score of 4.8 across four separate rating systems on Expedia's Insiders' Select Award 2009. Hotel Service, Hotel Condition, Room Cleanliness and Room Comfort scored 4.6, 4.7, 4.8 and 4.7 respectively. The Expedia Insiders' Select 2009 is a listing of top hotels ranked on value and quality as determined by their own experts and millions of actual paying customers around the world.
Hotels and resorts ranked on the Expedia Insiders' Select listing include only the top one per cent of hotels worldwide. This award is judged by guests' experiences together with Expedia hotel experts, ranking the Excelsior as one of the world's finest hotels.
