More than half the people infected so far with swine flu had recovered and the remainder were responding to treatment, the health authorities said yesterday.

The figure of confirmed cases rose to 82 yesterday, with the addition of another three.

However, 48 of these have been cured, less than two weeks after the first confirmed case on July 1. The three new cases consisted of a 30-year-old man, a 28-year-old woman and a three-year-old Gozitan infant.
