On behalf of Fleur-De-Lys residents, I would like to show my appreciation for the way our feast committee has organised the titular feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel celebrated on July 5.

All those who visited our locality during the week saw the great improvements the committee has made over the past 10 years since it was established. This is thanks to the dedication and efforts of the members of the committee and their helpers, who readily give up their free time spent with their families to organise such a wonderful spectacle in our parish.

A special thanks goes to the group who with a remarkable effort, on Thursday afternoon, managed to decorate our street, Fleur-De-Lys Junction for the feast after the roadworks had terminated just a few hours before the band marches started.

I encourage all the residents of Fleur-De-Lys to keep supporting this group of volunteers and appreciate their enthusiasm and dedication towards our local feast.
