Marsovin has opened up one of its biggest vineyards, Marnisi Estate, for public viewing and guided tours.

Marnisi Estate in Marsaxlokk, home of three Marsovin Premium Estate Wines, was planted in 1994 and was the first in the series of Marsovin-owned estates specifically intended for the production of premium quality wines.

The estate is spread across 73.2 tumoli of land and is planted with over 50,000 vines, consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The yields are low thus guaranteeing the highest quality and depth of character.

"Marsovin's philosophy of producing a selection of single vineyard wines is unique in Malta. This philosophy has offered an essential contribution to the assertion in Malta of the 'Cru'; a vineyard dedicated to the production of grapes for a particular wine, because of its importance and peculiar characteristics," the company said.

Visitors can enjoy a leisurely walk through some of the vines and afterwards taste the wines.

The estate is open to the public on Mondays and Wednesdays. Further information is available on 23662260 or 7923 1919.
