Barbara plays for Sheffield Wednesday

Etienne Barbara (picture) was in the Sheffield Wednesday squad last night for the JPL Cup triangular tournament at the Tedesco Stadium. Barbara, who last season played for SC Verl in the German Regional League, is on trial with Wednesday. He took part in the 45-minute match against Floriana which the Owls won 1-0. The English championship side went on to clinch the honours after beating Dingli 1-0 in the decisive match. Earlier, the Swallows beat Floriana 2-0.
