Roofless theatre noise

A lot of comments have been made about the proposed plans for the open air theatre in Valletta. All spoke about the merits or design.

What does concern me is that an open air theatre will be noisy. Since most performances will take place in the late evening, has anyone thought about the residents of Valletta and the surrounding area? No doubt every effort will be made to use the theatre as much as possible, to actually make this place pay for itself and secondly to breathe some life into Valletta.

I do not think that enough attention has been paid to the negative impact this will have on residents as we do not seem to care how much noise we make in this country.

I suggest that some serious thinking is done before proceeding with the open air theatre, as this will cause people to suffer lack of sleep and stress.

No doubt the House of Parliament will be sound proofed.
