Balluta Bay is one of the prettiest spots on the Sliema/St Julians promenade. Many years ago the sandy beach ran from one end of the bay to the other but over time it has been left to erode and no attention has been paid to it for ages.

If the bay is given the same treatment as was given to St Georges Bay, it would be enjoyed by many families young and old.

All it needs is a shipload of sand and a small breakwater running halfway between Barracuda restaurant and Neptunes using building debris (instead of wasting it far out at sea).

I wish Flimkien Għal Ambjent Aħjar and other civic-minded NGOs can take it up from here.
