I am missionary in the Selva of Peru. On August 30 we celebrate the feast of St Rosa of Lima, when many sacraments are administered. The problem is finding a godparent for Baptism, whose role is to guide the child in his or her spiritual life. So I created a group called Angels of Santa Rosa and we meet once a month. We have a talk, watch a spiritual movie, celebrate that month's birthdays and more. This way I am assisting in the spiritual growth of these children.

With €50 a reader can be a godparent. Last year through this newspaper I had 50 responses; otherwise the children, 116 in all, would not have been christened. I sent photos and even DVDs to some donors but unfortunately few gave me their name and address. One woman donated €500 but only gave me her name.
