ADT is failing yet another test
The Transport Authority (ADT) seems to be in a muddle when it comes to the practical driving tests. A number of young men and women have been waiting to sit for their driving test for about three months. What is even more galling is that they did their theoretical tests weeks ago. Every time they ask their driving instructors why it is taking so long for them to receive a bit of paper from the ADT advising them when they are to report for their test they are told that the ADT only assigns a certain number of tests to each instructor over a period of time.
Surely this is not correct. Some of these youngsters had their last driving lesson 10 weeks ago.
Is it right that they have to wait so long to finally get their driving licence? The ADT should really get a move on if it wants to earn the respect of the public. Mind you, it has failed in many areas such as asking for people to report exhaust spewing vehicles and then failing to take any action in these six months.

It is about time to cut off the monster's head that has become the ADT. Where are the authorities and the minister concerned? We need some answers and above all action FAST!

Not really.. ADT is good at dumping speed cameras everywhere, allowing proliferation of 'sleeping policemen', acting as a Tax Collector, messing up driving license tests, inconsistent road signage, making a joke of VRT and Emissions Tests... etc.. So you see, Dear Mr. Bonello, ADT is a very thorough agency!

The problem is to do with those who run ADT. They are one of a kind and will never get things right. Our minister for transport has to focus on other priorities first; he does not think this is a priority. People are kept waiting, Driving instructors are kept waiting; and the money keeps rolling in while this incompetence continues. Its spends useless money importing specialists to show them how, and Malta ends up a laughing stock because when the invited ones try and show our lot in the Licensing and Testing Department the way forward, they seem to be incapable of learning. In one ear and out the other and that goes to our stubborn minister too.

The only thing the ADT is competent at is incompetence.
When do heads ever roll on this island?
