Pharmacy students' reception

At a reception hosted by the Malta Chamber of Commerce Healthcare section in Valletta fifth year Pharmacy and M.Sc. students celebrated the completion of their degree studies and thanked the department staff for their help and advice throughout the course.

Parliamentary Secretary for Health Joe Cassar encouraged the students to take up clinical pharmacy, describing it as an important option needed especially at Mater Dei Hospital. However, students opting to take up clinical pharmacy as a career commented that they are the only new pharmacy graduates still without a job.

External examiner Benito del Castillo praised the students for the excellence of their projects adding that all the students matched or surpassed the standards of students in many top schools of pharmacy.
