Norwegian cellist Sverre Barratt gave a concert at the Aula Mgr Giuseppe Farrugia in Victoria as part of the Victoria International Arts Festival. He was accompanied on the piano by his mother Cecilie, Professor of Pianoforte Studies at the Barratt-Due Institute of Music.

Barratt, who played works by Bach, Rachmaninov and Shostakovich, is the winner of the Norwegian National Competition for Musicians under 23.

The prize includes the participation of the winner in the Victoria International Arts Festival.
