Kerċem Day was celebrated with various activities including a commemoration marking the 25th anniversary of Gozo Bishop Mario Grech's priesthood, the 15th anniversary of Kerċem council, the presentation of Ġieħ Kerċem to Angelo Grech and George Pace and book donations to all Kerċem children who attend kindergarten classes. A new water catchment system was also inaugurated.
