Ibra happy to be at Inter

Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic expressed his delight at returning to training with Inter yesterday despite previously saying he needed a fresh challenge.

Ibrahimovic, Serie A's top scorer last term, has been linked in the media with Barcelona, Real Madrid and Manchester United but Inter's price tag of around €70 million euros means no offers have so far been forthcoming.

"What happens, happens. Now I am happy to be here, I am happy like the first day I came to Inter," he told Inter TV.

Coach Jose Mourinho, holding a news conference on the first day of pre-season training, was not surprised to see the Swede.

"I never thought he could leave," said the Portuguese, who was less happy that players he does not want are still at Inter.

"It is not positive to have 28 players. It is not a criticism of my club but of eight players we wanted to cut only four have left, three at the end of contracts and one on loan.

"This means Inter have made no euros and when the club doesn't make money the coach has to be pragmatic. I'll work more but I can't produce miracles. I'm not Harry Potter."

Inter have bought Genoa duo Diego Milito and Thiago Motta with Twente Enschede striker Marko Arnautovic poised to follow.

Media reports have also linked the champions with a move to persuade former Juventus winger Pavel Nedved out of retirement, but Mourinho refused to comment about other players he wants.
