Wind surfer rescued by AFM

A wind surfer who found himself in difficulty was rescued by the Armed Forces of Malta this afternoon.

The AFM said that at 5.48 p.m. it was told by the police that there was a wind surfer who seemed to be in difficulty in the Bahar ic-Caghaq area.

The army dispatched a search and rescue boat and rescued the surfer from the Splash and Fun area, taking him to its Maritime base.

The surfer did not need medical assistance.
