In the light of the recent report regarding the whereabouts of the opera house heritage, it is very important for all of us that the government should initially start a campaign to try locating and collecting these missing architectural remnants from any site where they may be stored, be it public or private gardens, as this is part of our heritage. The government should then ask for the public's knowledge and assistance to disclose the location of these artefacts and where they are being "stored" and offer a free phone service for anyone who wishes to report their whereabouts.
It should be made absolutely clear that unless such items are returned voluntarily, the police will investigate and ensure that every missing item is returned or otherwise!
This is an extremely important part of our heritage and hence should be returned where it belongs especially in the light of the proposed project where it should be left to Renzo Piano and his team to decide if and where these remnants should be displayed in this exciting project.
