A woman who got fed up of being under house arrest and went for a walk was yesterday jailed for two months.

Janica Mifsud, 25, of Sliema, pleaded guilty to breaching house arrest conditions on Wednesday evening.

Police Inspector Anna Marie Micallef, prosecuting, told the court Ms Mifsud had been under house arrest for 14 months and went out for a stroll because she had got "fed up".

She added that Ms Mifsud was placed under house arrest after breaching her bail conditions. Ms Mifsud is facing criminal charges for her alleged involvement in theft along with her former boyfriend.

Magistrate Michael Mallia put her behind bars for two months.

Lawyer Peter Paul Zammit appeared for Ms Mifsud.
