A public relations executive has taken legal action after being fired from the same government agency for a second time.
The Industrial Tribunal declared last September that PR and communications executive Vanessa Mifsud had been unfairly dismissed by Malta Enterprise Corporation the previous March.
The tribunal had ordered she be reinstated and that she should receive compensation for the period of time she spent unemployed. The decision was later confirmed by the Court of Appeal.
Mr Mifsud filed an application in court yesterday claiming she had had to pressure the company for weeks in order to re-employ her but after they did so they failed to give her a copy of the relevant employment documents. Furthermore, the company refused to compensate her as ordered by the court, she claimed.
She was fired again on May 12, after Malta Enterprise instituted disciplinary proceedings against her, and, in turn, she again resorted to the Industrial Tribunal, again claiming unfair dismissal.
Ms Mifsud is also asking the court to order Malta Enterprise to pay her the compensation she was owed and to liquidate the amount.
Lawyer Aron Mifsud Bonnici signed the application.
