The Malta Rifle and Pistol Shooting Club (MRPSC) held its second Bullseye Pistol match of the season recently.

This competition followed the rules laid down by the National Rifle Association of the US; rules which are followed worldwide.

Courses of fire were attempted at 15 and 25 metres in both rimfire and centrefire, using pistols and revolvers. In the rimfire category, Clive Chipperfield placed first followed by John B. Vincenti and Martin Scicluna.

Michael Risiott led in centrefire.

He was followed by Clive Brockdorff and Roderick Grixti. Second and third place had to be decided via an additional shoot-off as Brockdorff and Grixti had tied in the competition.

The club currently has over 500 members and is affiliated to the Association of Maltese Arms Collectors and Shooters (AMACS - amacs-malta.org).

The pistol competition was sponsored by CNA Insurance Company Ltd.
