Obituary
AGIUS - On July 5, AGNES née Schembri, of Qormi residing at Balzan, aged 82, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband Dr Joseph Agius, her son Dr Antoine and his wife Cecilia née Sciberras, her daughters Mary Rose and her husband Raymond Polidano, and Pauline and her husband Mr Justice Tonio Mallia, her grandchildren Claudia and her husband Engelbert Muscat, David and his fiancée Gabriella, Christine and her husband Mark Rizzo, and Caroline and her boyfriend Ezechiel, and her great-grandson Giorgio, her sister Sr Cecilia Schembri of the Sisters of St Joseph of the Apparition, and her sisters-in-law Mary Schembri, Violet Schembri and Bernardette Schembri, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Zammit Clapp Hospital tomorrow at 1.15 p.m. for St George's parish church, Qormi, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m., followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Missionary Society of St Paul, Rabat, will be greatly appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
FENECH. On July 5, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOHN of Żurrieq, aged 84, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Josephine, his children Catherine widow of John Falzon, Carmen and her husband Gulio Briffa, Mary and her husband Joe Falzon, Vicky and her husband Nicky Penza, Doris and her husband Anthony Pace, Shaun and his fiancée Priscilla Madiona, his grand-children; Marushka, Chris, Angelo, Rodney, Karl, Ivan, Janella, Frans, Maria, Emma, Joseph and their fiancés and fiancées, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 3 p.m. for Żurrieq Archparish Church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30 p.m., followed by interment at St Leone Cemetery, Żurrieq. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Fund-raising dinner
Booking is open for the 44th anniversary fund-raising dinner by Din l-Art Ħelwa, which will be held in the idyllic setting of San Anton Gardens on July 24 at 8 p.m. under the patronage of President George Abela. All funds raised are in aid of Din l-Art Ħelwa's restoration programmes.
Dine for diabetes
The fund-raising buffet dinner in aid of the Maltese Diabetes Association will be held on July 17 and not this Friday as inadvertently reported. It will be held at the open-air Piazza Marina, Grand Hotel Excelsior, Floriana. The dinner, inclusive of wine, costs €28 per person.
