Between January and May 2009, Employment and Training Corporation officials found a total of 160 foreigners working in Malta without permits, Social Policy Minister John Dalli told Parliament in reply to a parliamentary question by Labour MP Carmelo Abela. Half of the foreigners were of EU origin and the other half non-EU. There were 52 in January, 29 in February, 28 in March, 19 in April and 32 in May.
