BoV-Vodafone competition
Bank of Valletta and Vodafone Malta Ltd have launched a new promotion for all prepaid and pay-monthly customers.
All Vodafone prepaid customers who subscribe to BoV's SMS mobile top-up service, and pay-monthly customers who register to the bank's direct debit service can take part.
Customers may win Vodafone prizes, including one of two Dell Mini personal computers or an iPhone 3G.
Both come complete with free local internet service for three months.
Customers need to subscribe to the SMS mobile top-up service from either the BoV stand at the Malta Trade Fair, which closes today, or from any BoV branch, and carry out at least one successful SMS top-up.
Customers on pay-monthly plans who choose to subscribe to the bank's direct debit service will also be eligible to participate.
This offer is valid until August 31 and winners will be announced by mid-September.

What I currently find annoying is the BOV ATM which opens up with a page to top up Vodafone before you can get to your money.
1. It wastes my time.
2. Not everyone is with Vodafone and if they are, maybe they don't want their number known by BOV or their bank account details known by Vodafone.
Fine if BOV and Vodafone want to get into bed together but re-programme the ATM so that it is a service only if requested and not a hinderance to every customer.
