Debate continues on Piano's City Gate plans (4)
The Piano plans are a jewel in the crown of a five-year process which I hope will bring about the much-needed regeneration of Valletta. Work is already underway at St George's Square and the Auberge de Castille has scaffolding erected on one of its sides. Over the coming months Valletta will see similar changes taking place in all its four corners.
Our capital city is in transition; these are exciting times indeed!

The Question here is not the money!! Cause Why spend money, or even one cent for that matter on a project which is a failure from day one!! Building a City Gate ..Which Gate?? I SEE NO GATE!! It is only an imagination on Piano's Plans. The Theatre ..is only being anclosed with See through glass or siimilar!! The Parliament .. Well there is room for that ..just inside the Old Yellow Garage .. Only needs refurbishing.. no Tapestries needed .. cause these get ruined by flying Laptops ..which replaced the old ink pots!!!

We have had among other projects, the regeneration of Cottonera, the building of the cruise-liner terminal with the upgrading of Lascaris wharf, the present project for the entrance to Valletta and in the next few years there will also be the regeneration of the Menqa area in Marsa. This government is keeping its promises of breathing life back into the Grand Harbour area.
