Jobless increase
Unemployment rose by 1,248 to 7,266 in the 12-month period to last May.
The National Statistics Office said the number of men registering for work rose by 943 and that for women by 305.
Most of the unemployed, 40.6 per cent, were 45 years old and over. Those aged 20 and over increased by 13.3 per cent.
Men mostly sought elementary duties and trades while women preferred clerical or service-oriented jobs.

If all foreign workers were expelled we would have zero unemployment.

To add to your comment, Yet the Goverment is offering Legal Job Opportunitys which are Ours by right to people whom are diclared as being Illegaly in Malta. Thats how much the PN have his Countrymen at Heart.

Only yesterday we had it reported in the local newspapers that 1266 illegal immigrants have been issued with a work permit.
The mind boggles.
