Gran Castello Summer Nights announced

Piano, jazz and choral concerts, contemporary theatre and an original musical depicting the siege of Gozo way in 1551 will feature in this year's edition of the Gran Castello Summer Nights at St. John's Demi-Bastions in the Cittadella in Gozo.

The programme kicks off on Friday, July 10 with a concert by leading Maltese pianist Clifford Borg (picture) accompanied by Gozitan vocalist Miriam Christine Borg.

Clifford Borg has performed in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, Egypt, Italy and Germany. His musical inclination varies from traditional classical style to the more contemporary synthesized vein.

He launched his second album Origin last May.

Local vocalist Miriam Christine Borg will be featuring alongside Borg with songs from Billie Holiday, Mia Martini, Amy Winehouse, Sandy and Junior and Elena Paparizou.
