Two critical after Żebbuġ fight

Two men are in critical condition after they were involved in a fight among neighbours in Pawlu Debono Street, Żebbuġ, soon after 7 p.m., yesterday, the police said.

Another three men, who were involved in the fight, were hospitalised having sustained various injuries, the police said. The police said that one of the person was injured when he was hit by a car during the fighting. A knife and pieces of iron were allegedly used, the police said.

The police said they rushed to the street when they were informed that a number of persons were involved in a heated argument which soon developed into a fight. The ages of the injured men ranged from 20 to 57. Apart from those injured, more persons were involved, including some women, none of whom was injured.

The police are interrogating a number of persons who were involved in the disturbance as part of their investigations.
