Former Labour MEP named head of news

Former MEP Glenn Bedingfield has been appointed head of news and current affairs at One Productions Ltd, the Labour Party's broadcasting arm.

A graduate in political studies, Mr Bedingfield, 34, had replaced Joseph Muscat at the European Parliament but failed to be elected last month.

He replaces journalist Miriam Dalli at the helm.

Matthew Carbone, 25, is his deputy.

Still dusting yourself from June 6 landslide victory Frans?
Good luck Glenn.

@Frans Borg. Where have you been this last month. Didn't you feel the earthquake of June 6? PL 55% and PN 40% passing the PN with 35,000 votes. Or the Local Councils 44% PN and 54% PL. If that wasn't an earthquake, I wonder. It's still being felt at the PN DAr Centrali. Ask the PM and the backbenchers.
