Five FimBank employees qualify as credit specialists

Five FimBank plc employees recently obtained their qualification as Certified Documentary Credit Specialists.

CDCS is a professional certification that enables documentary credit practitioners to demonstrate specialist knowledge and the application of the skills required for competent practice in this sphere.

The employees who completed the course are Chris Agius, Roderick Azzopardi, Nassif Chehab, Letizia Mercieca and David Vella.

FimBank's head of human resources Bruno Cassar emphasised the bank's recognition of the importance of continuous professional development.

"Indeed, the bank extends its support to employees to further their education through various incentives, including paid study leave as well as the reimbursement of a substantial part of the respective fees," he said.

"The acquisition of the CDCS qualification, which enjoys worldwide recognition, reflects the increasing level of expertise being achieved by our employees.

"We are certain that the know-ledge acquired throughout this course will enable them to further enhance their understanding of the complex issues associated with documentary credit practice," concluded Mr Cassar.
