The event shall also delve into the future prospects of carbon prices, particularly in light of the recent economic crisis, as well as the EU's 2020 targets as part of the Energy and Climate policy package. The main theme of MIE 2009 is the role of medical informatics in ensuring a united and healthy Europe.
