Wine festival opens on Friday

Marsovin will be holding its wine festival as part of the Malta Arts Festival this weekend at Hastings Garden in Valletta.

It opens on Friday and continues on Saturday and Sunday between 8 p.m. and 1 a.m.

"The aim of the event is not only to promote Marsovin's wines but also to present a cultural event tied to a Mediterranean theme," Marsovin said.

Hastings gardens will be divided into four sections each section representing a different country; Italy, Malta, Spain and Morocco. Each section will host its own musicians playing and performing music from each country

There will be Flamenco dancers, Venetian classical duet, Maltese live bands and tribal music.

The Malta Chefs Society will offer a variety of traditional food from each country.

All those who attend will be requested to pay either a €5 entrance fee each day, for which they will receive a wine glass which they can keep after the event as well as a €2 token for a glass of wine, or a €10 fee which entitles them to taste up to16 different wines, as well as a wine glass which they can keep after the event.
