The regeneration of Fort St Elmo will be tackled in three phases, Infrastructure Minister Austin Gatt said in Parliament in reply to a question by Labour MP Owen Bonnici.

The consecutive phases will tackle Upper St Elmo, Lower St Elmo and Evans Building.

Studies were still ongoing to evaluate the global expenditure and timeframes for the project. The government intended to apply for EU funds.
