Charged with defilement

A British teenager stood in the dock yesterday after he allegedly showed pornographic material and exposed himself to a 10-year-old boy.

The 16-year-old, who lives in Qala, was charged with defiling the boy, another Briton who resides in Qala.

The teenager was taken to court following a police summons issued after relatives of mutual friends reported him in view of what allegedly occurred in June last year.

The teenager, who appeared before Magistrate Edwina Grima in the Gozo courts, denied the charges.

The case continues.
