Two held after hold-up
A mother and daughter from Qormi were unharmed when two armed men stole their van in Rabat Road, Fleur-de-Lys, yesterday.
The police later arrested the suspects after they found the van at Mrieħel. The men are expected to be charged in the coming days.
The police said the hold-up took place at about 2 p.m. when the men, who were armed but not hooded, approached the 42-year old woman and stole her van. The woman was accompanied by her 16-year old daughter.
Magistrate Silvio Meli is holding an inquiry.
