Police fire warning shot
The police yesterday plucked a suspect thief from the bushes in Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq where he was hiding after a warning shot was fired to stop him from escaping arrest.
Mobile squad police were driving past the area at about 11 a.m. when they noticed a Libyan in a parked car and felt he looked suspicious, the police said. When the man realised he was being watched he got out of the car and started running.
The officers could see laptops, computers, cameras and audio equipment in the car and gave chase. They fired a warning shot into the air when he refused to stop and then found him hidden among the bushes.
The man, 39, is expected to be arraigned in the coming days and charged with stealing the goods.

Warning shot? Why couldn't they just use that funky knee to the chest move?

Credit goes where it is due.
Well done and thanks for intervening! Such actions by the police are indeed very assuring and should be encouraged.
