I have recently seen old London buses in Malta taking tourists around the island. These London buses are quite nicely refurbished. My question is: Why import and refurbish old London buses when we had such nice Maltese buses? Couldn't the same company refurbish the old Maltese buses and use them, instead? Old Maltese buses were full of culture. I remember most of them even had their own small sanctuaries, apart from their particular shape. Tourists do stop and take pictures of the very few old buses which are still on route.

Why is our culture being so degraded when we should be so proud of it? We are slowly losing a lot of it. Culture takes centuries to build, and seconds to destroy. Let's try to keep it alive.
