The Inter-Diocesan Committee for the Pauline Year is currently holding an exhibition of artistic works on St Paul entitled Salve Pater Paule (Hail Paul Our Father.
It is being held at the Wignacourt College Museum in Rabat. This venue was the former residence of the chaplains of the Order of St John and it is linked to St Paul's Grotto and St Paul's Collegiate Church through an underground passage.
Open to the general public until Friday, the exhibition consists of 85 of works of art, some of which were never exhibited in public and never published in books. Among the pieces on show are paintings, drawings, sketches and sculptural works.
The exhibits form part of the church's possessions and others are from private collections. They date from the 14th century to modern times. The coordinator of the exhibition is John Azzopardi, the museum's curator. Entrance is free.
