Mr JUSTIN HABER and Miss RAQUEL CAMENZULI
The engagement took place on June 20, 2009, between JUSTIN, son of Sylvana and Lino Haber of Floriana, and RAQUEL, daughter of Carmen and Anthony Camenzuli of Santa Maria Estate, Mellieħa. The ring was blessed by His Excellency Archbishop of Malta, Mgr. Paul Cremona, OP.

Marriages

Mr KARL MALLIA and Miss LUISA RIZZO
The marriage took place on June 13 at St Gregory's church, Żejtun, between KARL, son of Mr and Mrs Charles Mallia of Swieqi, and LUISA, daughter of Mr and Mrs Vincent J. Rizzo of Swieqi. Nuptial Mass was celebrated by Canon Patrick Browne. The ceremony was witnessed by Mrs Nadine Naudi and Mr Vincent E. Rizzo. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr Steve Camenzuli. Mr Edward Rizzo, Mr Chris Mifsud, Mr Matthew Borg Manche and Mr Roberto Brincat were ushers. Attending the bride were Ms Manuela de Giorgio and Ms Rachel Bezzina. Master Daniel Rizzo and Master Michael Naudi were pageboys and Miss Martina Naudi was flower-girl. A reception was later held at Villa Bologna, Attard. The couple are spending their honeymoon in Paris and the Seychelles.

Golden Wedding

The marriage took place on June 28, 1959, at St Aloysius College, Birkirkara. Fr Cyril Borg, OCD, officiated. Congratulations from Marthese and Raimondo, Sandra and Alex, and your grandchildren Corinne and Valentina, Karla, Mark and Julian. May God bless you both.

Obituary

BINETT. On June 26, at her sister's residence in Sliema, GIULIA, aged 88, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved sisters Violet Binett and Emelda Spiteri née Binett, her several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was also sister of the late Rita Mangion, Mary Tanti and Stella Bezzina, all née Binett. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 9 a.m. for Sacro Cuor parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30 a.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to St Joseph Institute, Ħamrun, will be greatly appreciated.

BRINCAT. On June 27, at Mater Dei Hospital, EMANUEL M., aged 74, director and owner of Confort Travel, Msida. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Maria Vincenza, his sons Andrew and his wife Maria, Joseph and his wife Claudia, his grandchildren Nicole, Bernard and Mark, his dearest friends Ronald and his wife Doris, other relatives and friends, especially those from the University of the Third Age. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital on Tuesday at 7.45 a.m. for Msida parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8 a.m., followed by interment at Gudja cemetery. Donations to the Hospice Movement will be appreciated. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Mater Dei, Boffa Hospital and the Hospice Movement. May the Lord grant him eternal rest.

de GRAY. On June 25, in Rochester, Kent, England, CHARLES V., aged 76, passed away in hospital. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Anne, their three sons and their wives, grandchildren, brothers and sisters and his in-laws. The funeral will take place in England an the date will be announced shortly. May God grant him eternal rest.

GALEA. On June 26, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPHINE, ex-Nursing Officer at Disneyland Ward. She leaves to mourn her loss her brother Ludwig and his wife Connie, her sister Gaetana, widow of Joseph, cousins, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends, including Alfred and Barbara Bray. The funeral was held yesterday. Donations to the Island Sanctuary will be appreciated.

PITRÈ. On June 22, in Australia, ISABELLA, aged 62, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her brothers and sisters, Joe, Marjoe, Victoria, Margaret and Clara, their spouses, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. A Mass for the repose of her soul will be celebrated on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Jesus of Nazareth parish church, Sliema.

WADLEY - On June 24, at Poole Hospital, England, VICTORIA ELIZABETH née Diacono, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her husband Louis, her children Catherine and her husband Paul Scott, Nicola and her partner Ryan, and Steven and his wife Helen, her precious grandson Harry, her sisters Sr Marie Bernarde of the Ursuline Community in Sliema and Christine and her husband Mario Randon, her sister-in-law Myriam Diacono, her in-laws, her loving nephews and nieces, uncle and aunts, other relatives and friends. The funeral will be held in the UK. A Mass in her memory will be held in Malta. The date and place will be announced later. Please remember her in your prayers. She made the world a better place with her love and laughter. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

A bazaar is being held at 49, Cathedral Street, Sliema (next door to Stella Maris parish centre), on Wednesday and Thursday. Open from 9.30 a.m. onwards.
