Kettle Chips are the main sponsors of the European junior tournament due to be held between July 4 and 11 at the Vittoriosa Lawn Tennis Club (VLTC).
This international competition, open for U-14 players, is being staged for the second year running at VLTC. The tournament will consist of singles events for boys and girls with a main draw of 48 players.
Qualification and consolation events as well as doubles competitions for both categories will also be held during the weeklong tournament.
This competition has once again attracted significant interest from junior players across Europe.
They hail from the UK, Italy, Germany, Russia, Latvia, Hungary, Croatia, Austria, Turkey, Poland, Ireland, Cyprus, Ukraine, Austria, Serbia, Sweden and Belgium.
The Maltese line-up will include Patrick Georgiev, Bernard Cassar Torregiani, Raphael Sammut, Matthew Cassar Torregiani, Alexia Cassar, Maria Giorgia Farrugia Sacco, Naomi Zammit Ciantar and Nicole Sapiano.
Signing-in for the qualifying draw will be held on July 3, starting at 4 p.m. while the signing-in for the main draw will be held on July 5 between 2 and 4 p.m. The matches in the main draw will commence on July 6.
In a statement, the tournament organisers thanked sponsors Kettle Chips for their support and also urged the local sporting public to attend and give their backing to the Maltese players.
