Narrow pavement poses danger

The road connecting Swieqi and San Ġwann through Wied Għomor is becoming ever busier and awkward to drive through due to its narrowness.

The extremely narrow pavement which was built has only aggravated the problem. The pavement is covered with overgrown weeds and is so narrow (in places it is simply a curbside!) that pedestrians have no choice but to walk on the road, below the pavement. This has made the road even narrower for motorists (and cyclists).

A better solution is needed before a serious head-on collision takes place or a pedestrian is run over.

Also, concrete pavements aesthetically jar with rubble walls!
