I agree with cremation, why waste scarce land to build more rot boxes(Tombs/graves) that are unhygienic and expose worker of the D of H to disease during the many messy and gross exhumations they have to do as part of their job in cemeteries across Malta and Gozo.
I witnessed this smelly exhumation process and it convinced me of the merits of cremation.

About time indeed! Every entrance and main intersection should have a large board indicating different areas and sectors with grave numbers. And every area and sector should have very clear markings. The same letter should not be used for different areas.....Sound obvious....... but that might be because you have never gone through the experience of trying to locate a grave having been given just its letter and number.
Will the present state-of- the art litter bins be left? Will CCTV cameras be installed making sure that they have a good resolution so that if a person needs to be identified the picture will be clear enough? However please make sure to leave the walls, stone surfaces and pavings intact with their lichen cover. And here I am not being sarcastic. Hope nobody gets this brilliant idea of scraping the lichens which have been growing for years. They give character to the place. And they are an important aspect of our natural heritage.

The minister should give an option for those who wish to be cremated, we already have a shortage of land and graves, and it will worse in the future.
