The Central Bank has issued a silver and gold coin as part of an EU programme dedicated to cultural heritage. The coins depict the emblem of Malta with the year of issue and the Castellania, in Merchants Street, Valletta, on the reverse. The silver coin costs €38 while the gold costs €200. They are available from the Coins Distribution Centre at the Central Bank, Castille Square, Valletta.
