Player-coach Dário Arruda has accepted the invitation of Table Tennis Nursery (TTN) to conduct summer sessions for beginners and intermediate players. Arruda, from Portugal, is expected to make his expertise available to young players at TTN for the next two years.

Arruda has won important junior competitions in his country and is very keen on passing his know-how to Maltese players.

"Thanks to Arruda's contribution, boys and girls will benefit from an international touch to their sessions in line with the nursery's slogan, Learn To Play The Elite Way," a TTN statement said.

The TTN recently held its third annual Grand Prix which was directed by international umpire Mark Zammit.

Daniel Said and David Grima produced fine performances in the final. Said had the final say by winning the cadets category. In the mini-cadets group, Elena Pocock beat Sacha Pace in the final.

The TTN will switch to the summer schedule on July 4. All training sessions will be supervised by head coach David Pace and David Read. One may obtain more details on TTN activities by phoning 9944-6916 (www.tabletennisnursery.eu).
