Obituary
ATTARD. On June 22, at Mater Dei Hospital, ANTHONY (City) of Valletta, aged 74, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Joe and his wife Yvette, Anna and her husband George Francica, his loving angel Maria Bianca, his niece Vanessa and her husband Alex, his grandchildren Keith, Justine, Clayton and Jeanise, his brothers and sisters, Alfred (Niċċa) and his wife Sue, residing in England, his sister Marie and her husband George, of Canada, and Sandra and her husband Victor, in-laws, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8 a.m. for St John of the Cross parish church, Ta' Xbiex, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m., followed by interment in the family grave at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares Children's Cancer Support Group, Rainbow Ward, Mater Dei Hospital, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
BURRIDGE. On June 22, IVAN JAMES LANGFORD, aged 80, passed away peacefully at Mater Dei Hospital comforted by the rites of Holy Church and with his wife Josephine at his side, after a long illness bravely and patiently endured. Besides his wife, he leaves to mourn his loss his brother Kenelm and his wife Anna, his brother William, his stepchildren Jeremy and his wife Georgina Jackson-Styner and their children, Mandy and her husband James Wedge and their children, his nephew Julian and his wife Robin and their children, his niece Kirsten and her children, his niece Jill and her husband George Attard and their children, his brothers and sister-in-law, his many cousins, friends and colleagues. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2.30 p.m. at the Nazzarenu parish church, Sliema, followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza would be greatly appreciated. The family wish to thank all the staff at Casa Antonia for their great care and attention over a long period. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
ZAMMIT. On June 21, at his residence in Sliema, ANTHONY ZAMMIT, Chevalier, Consul of Chile, Marquis of Tiana, aged 87, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Dame Bibiana, née Pace Asciak, Marquesa of Tiana, his children Joseph, Albert and Lydia, Maryanne and Patrick Dato Mallia, his grandchildren Alison and her fiancé Jeremy, Andrew, Malcolm, and Mark, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves his home today at 9 a.m. for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.30 a.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request, but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi will be appreciated. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

Human rights training course
A training course entitled Rightly Yours, Rightly Mine, on human rights and duties in a multi-cultural Europe, is being organised by the Malta Unesco Youth Association.
The course will be held at Baystreet Hotel between Friday and June 30 and will include the participation of youth workers from Italy, Spain, Greece, The Netherlands, Slovenia, Romania, Bulgaria, Estonia and Sweden.

Ryanair website maintenance
Passengers travelling on the low-cost airline Ryanair on Thursday must check in and print their boarding cards before 6 p.m. tomorrow.
Maintenance will be carried out on ryanair.com from 7 p.m. tomorrow until 5 a.m. on Thursday.
Passengers who booked before May 21 and opted for airport check-in may proceed as normal.
Astronomy Seminar
A half-day seminar on Astronomy and Science in the Media will be held on July 4 at the Halland Hotel, Tal-Ibraġ to celebrate the International Year of Astronomy.
During this seminar, an international project, Moon for all Mankind, will be launched. Those interested can contact alexei.pace@g.mail.com by June 31.
Travel to Italy
Those travelling to or through Italy between Sunday and July 15 will have to pass through border control and would need to be in possession of a passport or valid identification card because the Schengen system will be suspended during the G8 meeting taking place on the outskirts of L'Aquila.
BBQ for Hospice's 20th Anniversary

Cultural Festival
Sta Luċija will be hosting a festival of music and dance, food and drink on July 5 from 6.30 p.m. at the Chinese garden. The cultural festival will also include exhibitions.
Literary evening
A literary evening in memory of poet, philosopher and author Kahlil Gibran will be held on Monday at 7.30 p.m. at the Manoel Theatre, Old Theatre Street, Valletta.
