TTA International and the Harley-Davidson University (HDU) have recently set up a large-scale training programme at the TTA training establishment for European Harley-Davidson managers and trainers.

TTA International in Dordrecht has already been Harley-Davidson's official Benelux partner for courses and training for many years. "Because of the close cooperation with TTA International during past years, the Harley-Davidson University has decided to organise its European training at the modern TTA training location in Belgian Kontich," explains Mr Schmidt, training manager for Harley-Davidson Europe.

"This has been the site of by far the best equipped Harley-Davidson Benelux training centre of all our training centres in Europe for some years."

Harley-Davidson European trainers and after-sales managers gained detailed knowledge of the Screamin' Eagle Super Tuner, an optimised software program, to get the very best out of Screamin' Eagle tuning accessories on Harley-Davidson motorcycles.

The central theme was how to modify the power of a motorcycle in a responsible and safe way without making concessions regarding reliability and durability. Ed Ramburger, global training manager at Screamin' Eagle, travelled purposely from America to head this special product training. To be able to optimally demonstrate the Super Tuner, Harley-Davidson used advanced power dynamometers from Dynostar during the training, Dynostar being a subsidiary of TTA International and a leader in the field of power dynamometers.

Dynostar developed advanced communication software specifically for the Super Tuner with which the dynamometer displays full fuel mapping within a few minutes. The speed at which this happens marks a revolution in the software technique because this normally takes four to five hours.

Harley-Davidson will introduce Dynostar as the worldwide standard for its training centres and dealers.

"If Harley-Davidson European training centres and official dealers are going to concentrate on tuning motorcycles, they will use Dynostar dynamometers," says Ed Anderson, district after-sales manager of Harley-Davidson Benelux.

Under the supervision of Frans Lelieveld, Harley-Davidson trainer from TTA International, two Harley-Davidson motorcycles, a Dyna and a Softail, were fully converted and fitted with all possible Screamin' Eagle tuning accessories. The Dynostar test equipment and the Super Tuner were then used to tune the engines to the finest detail to optimally gain maximum performance from the two motorcycles.
