Mepa clamps down on illegal structures
The planning authority has clamped down on illegal structures restricting public passage along part of the Xemxija promenade.
The action was taken over two days and included demolition of illegal extensions to concrete platforms, paving works and canopies.
In separate action in Nadur, derelict cars and scrap metal was removed from a yard after its owner defied orders to clear the area.

Will action stop in front of the boathouses, or will it continue to open access in front of beachhaven? It has been a while now that you cannot walk past beachhaven as the owners have managed to close access to the public. MEPA please note.
