The Maltese embassy in Denmark is working extensively to increase tourism to Malta and help the Maltese invest in Nordic states.

It said in a statement that a private tourism company was aiming to bring more than 10,000 tourists to Malta this year.

The embassy had several meetings with foreign investors and tourism operators in the country and through its work, students opted to come to Malta to learn Engligh this summer.

The Foreign Ministry said that all Maltese embassies and consulates abroad had intensified their work in the past months to further promote Malta.

During a meeting in Malta last March, Malta’s 80 foreign consuls had 400 appointments with Maltese businessmen.

6,000 requests for assistance were received by embassies or consulates in the first four months of this year.
