Malta Boxing Federation secretary general Alexander Zammit has just attended an international meeting in Lausanne during which the Association Internationale de Boxe (AIBA) discussed the sport's latest developments and its future with member delegates.

The meeting was headed by AIBA president Ching-Kuo Wu who is also a member of the IOC Evaluation Commission for the 2016 Olympic Games.

Dr Wu welcomed the discussions on issues presented by the federations and said he was ready to assist where necessary.

The meeting also consisted of presentations from the AIBA head on the Boxing Academy, which will be launched in November 2010, the World Series of Boxing, licensing, the AIBA database and objectives for 2010 onwards.
