Moratti says Ibra worth €90 million

Inter supremo Massimo Moratti said striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is worth €90m, sending a sound warning to Barcelona, Chelsea and Real Madrid, all linked with the Swedish striker.

Moratti told reporters that based on the current transfer market figures he would rate Ibrahimovic higher than Franck Ribery, another Real target.

"If it is true that Bayern have placed a €70 million tag on Ribery, then I will need to ask a minimum of €90m for Ibra," Moratti said.

Moratti held meetings last week with his Barcelona counterpart Joan Laporta but no agreement was reached.

"I think Laporta is far away from the mega-investment policy that Real have made so far," Moratti said.

Aragones wants international job

Luis Aragones is eyeing a job in charge of a national team after ending his spell at Turkish club Fenerbahce, the former Spain coach said.

"I'd like to carry on coaching abroad because it's more interesting for me given my age," the 70-year-old, who was sacked after leading Fenerbahce to fourth place in the league this season, told Spanish TV station Telecinco.

"I hope to get a role with a national team outside Spain, that would be the best thing for me," added Aragones, who led Spain to victory at Euro 2008.

Last World Cup for Korea's Park

Manchester United and South Korea midfielder Park Ji-sung will play in his third and final World Cup in South Africa next year.

"The World Cup in 2010 will be my last," Park told reporters at South Korea's training facility, the daily Chosun Ilbo said.

"I don't think my stamina will last until the next one in 2014," said the 28-year-old, who was instrumental in his country's run to the last four of the 2002 finals.

South Korea have already qualified for their seventh straight World Cup finals, with Park tied as the team's top scorer during this campaign on four goals.

Espanyol battle for Nakamura

Espanyol have offered Shunsuke Nakamura, 31, a bigger wage deal than J-League club Yokohama Marinos as the clubs battle for the signature of the Celtic star.

The Spanish outfit offered Nakamura a two-year deal with an annual wage of €1.2 million when they met Nakamura's agent Roberto Tsukuda in Barcelona on Sunday.

The wages, worth 165 million yen a year, compare with the 150 million yen on offer in the two-and-half-year deal on the table from Yokohama, Nakamura's former club.

Espanyol are also ready to extend the contract by a year if Nakamura plays in a fixed number of matches for them.

Tevez talks to start this week

The representatives of Carlos (picture) will start talks with all interested parties hoping to sign the Argentine this week.

United are among those interested in Tevez but they face the challenge of Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea in the English Premiership.

Rumours said that one club in Italy and one in Spain are also showing interest even though Tevez wants to stay in England.

The 25-year-old joined United on loan in 2007, but that deal expires at the end of June and speculation has suggested that the forward is ready to turn his back on Old Trafford.

It is rumoured that Man. City are prepared to offer a deal worth in the region of £140,000-a-week.

Wolves sign Serbian midfielder Milijas

Newly-promoted Wolves have signed Serbia midfielder Nenad Milijas on a four-year deal. Milijas, 26, signed from Red Star for an undisclosed fee.

"We're really thrilled to have started our summer recruitment with Nenad Milijas," said Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey.

Milijas, the player of the year in the Serbian league last season, is considered a dead-ball specialist, and has used those skills to build up an impressive goal-scoring record from midfield.

"He scored 16 goals from 30 games last season and is also a physical presence who can play in a variety of different positions as well as being left-footed which gives the team more balance," Moxey said.

Stuttgart eyeing Gomez replacement

Stuttgart intend to fill the void left by striker Mario Gomez by signing Roman Pavlyuchenko from Tottenham Hotspur. Gomez left the club for a reported £25 million to join Bayern Munich last month.

Stuttgart general manager Horst Heldt said his club could prise Pavlyuchenko away from Tottenham who are after the signings of striker Ruud van Nistelrooy and Diego Forlan.

Pavlyuchenko, 27, scored 14 goals in 37 games last term following his £13.8 million move from Spartak Moscow.

"We are looking for firepower and Pavlyuchenko is a good striker and we have considered his name," Heldt said.
