Obituary

AGIUS. On June 15, SAVIOUR (Sonny), aged 74, ex-Malta Police Force, passed away peacefully at Zammit Clapp Hospital, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his daughters Nathalie and her husband John, Marina and her husband Fernando, his grandchildren, his sister Josephine residing in Australia, his niece Lilian and his nephew Joseph and their respective spouses, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Zammit Clapp Hospital today at 2.30 p.m. for the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery chapel where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3 p.m., followed by interment. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. The family would like to thank the nursing and medical staff at Zammit Clapp Hospital for their care and dedication. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

BORG. On June 14, MOYA, née Camilleri, aged 75, widow of George W., passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Deeply mourned by her daughters Rebecca and Rachel, her beloved grandchildren Paul and his fiancée Rachel, Mark, Chiara and Anabel, her son-in-law Dr George Hyzler, LL.D., her sister Shelagh and her husband Edgar Bonavia, her brother Gary and his wife Rosette, her sister-in-law Edith and her husband Vincent Valentino, nephews and nieces, other relatives, friends and her carers. Mass praesente cadavere will be said today at 2.30 p.m. at St Gregory's parish church, Sliema, followed by interment at Naxxar cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to The Malta Hospice Movement, Balzan, would be greatly appreciated.

BRIFFA. On June 13, CONCETTA, née Farrugia, aged 83, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved children John and his wife Rosi, Mary and her husband Paul Azzopardi, Josephine and her husband Joe Dimech, France and his wife Margaret and Antoinette and her husband Joe Bonnici, her grandchildren Alex, Marthese, Mark, Josianne, Antonella, Anatol, Gerthrude, Karl, Justin, Elaine and Valerie, their respective spouse and partners, her brother Joseph and his wife Inez, her sister Mary, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 1.30 p.m. for St Francis church, Birkirkara, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares Children's Cancer Support Group, Rainbow Ward, Mater Dei Hospital, will be greatly appreciated.

CORTIS. On June 15, MARIA. Funeral Mass will be celebrated today at 3.45 p.m. at St Philip parish church, Żebbuġ, followed by interment in the family grave at the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Żebbuġ. All outlets of the Cortis Group of Companies will be closed for business today.

SANT. On June 14, PAUL (Taż-Żiemel, ex-bus driver) of Mellieħa, passed away peacefully at the age of 68, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Mary, his children Carmen and her husband Albert Vella, Antoine and his wife Valerie and Jennifer and her husband Noel Vella, his grandchildren Sarah and her boyfriend Ryan, Russell, Kim, Kiestie and Kelly, his brother Joseph and his wife Rita, in-laws and their families, cousins, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P. The funeral leaves his daughter's residence today at 3 p.m. for Our Lady of Victories parish church, Mellieħa, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30 p.m., followed by interment at the Sultana tal-Vittorja Cemetery, Mellieħa. VELLA. On June 14, at his residence, CARLO (honorary member of Leone Band Club), of Victoria, Gozo, aged 94, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Maria, his children Doris (ex-headmistress) and her husband Joe, Carmen, widow of Joe, Jane and her husband George, Josephine and her husband Joe, George and his wife Maria, of Australia, Antoinette, architect Manwel and his wife Maria, Joe and his wife Tessie, Mary and her husband Tony, Tereża and her husband Charles, Anna and her husband Mario, and Raymond and his wife Doreen of Canada, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his brothers, among whom Mgr Nikola Vella, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Gozo General Hospital today at 4.15 p.m. for Republic Street, Victoria, from where the Leone Philharmonic Band will accompany the funeral to St Mary's Cathedral, Victoria, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 5 p.m., followed by interment at St Mary's Cemetery, Victoria.
