Choir helps young boy

Oliver Mangion

Oliver Mangion

The St Paul Choral Society donated €1,500 from the proceeds of their 2008 Christmas CD to Ray Mangion for his son Oliver who suffers from severe disabilities.

Oliver Mangion, 13, has severe deformities in all four limbs due to a rare chromosome translocation.

He receives treatment in England and has had 37 operations, including an amputation below the knee.

His parents have had to make difficult decisions to help Oliver walk and improve his dexterity. Due to this illness, he will have to have one of his kidneys removed.

Despite all this, Oliver is a very positive and brave child. He has helped raise funds for other charities through his love of swimming.

If you would like to help Oliver Henry Mangion, you may donate to his trust fund: BOV, account number 1790 6411 029.
